Terrorism and KO Hallinan

– The Jerusalem Post reports that Frisco State’s president wants District Atty Terry “KO” Hallinan to prosecute anti-Semitic rioters:

After being surrounded by a mob of students shouting, “Hitler didn’t finish the job,” and “Get out or we’ll kill you,” pro-Israel students at San Francisco State University are finally finding an ally against hate.

The university president is so fed-up with the hate-filled atmosphere on the Bay Area campus that he has asked the local district attorney’s office to help bring pro-Palestinian hate-mongers to justice.

Will KO do anything? My guess is that he won’t, based on his long history of cozying-up to terrorists. KO gave IRA leader Martin McGuinness a key to the city according to this story from the Frisco State student newspaper (clip begins by quoting the terrorist):

“I think it’s ironic that we (Sinn Fein) can come to the United States, and we can come into the White House but if we go to Westminster (Abbey), they wouldn’t let us in.”

SF State student Kelly Walsh, who attended the speech, said she was optimistic about the upcoming talks.

“I think things will change,” she said. “I don’t know if next week they’re (the British government) going to say, ‘OK, here’s your six countries back.’ But I see something coming.

“I put my trust in him and Gerry Adams because they’re the ones who are going to bring about peace, justice and a united Ireland.”

McGuinness was welcomed by city dignitaries such as Mayor Willie Brown, District Attorney Terence Hallinan, supervisors Tom Ammiano, Sue Bierman and Leland Yee, as well State Senator Tom Hayden, D-Los Angeles.

Given Hallinan’s dismal performance as DA — he has the lowest conviction rate in the state — a prosecution probably wouldn’t equal a conviction in any case. Best just throw Frisco State’s Hate Speech code at the hooligans, expel them, and be done with it. BTW, the next time you hear that Frisco is a haven of tolerance and freedom, be sure and fall down on the floor laughing.
