{"id":2590,"date":"2002-11-05T12:01:00","date_gmt":"2002-11-05T19:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mossback.org\/archives\/2002\/11\/election-predictions\/"},"modified":"2002-11-05T12:01:00","modified_gmt":"2002-11-05T19:01:00","slug":"election-predictions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bennett.com\/blog\/2002\/11\/05\/election-predictions\/","title":{"rendered":"Election Predictions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\tIn the finest Blogistan tradition of offering opinions without any factual foundation whatsoever, here is how I think the election will go today:<\/p>\n<p>New Hampshire &#8211; Shaheen beats Sunnunu due to the Smith write-in campaign.<br \/>\nNew Jersey &#8211; Lautenberg beats Forrester but dies before swearing-in.<br \/>\nMassachusetts &#8211; O&#8217;Brien beats Romney<br \/>\nMaryland &#8211; Ehrlich beats Kennedy Kennedy (Townsend)<br \/>\nSouth Carolina &#8211; Lindsay Graham beats crazy guy<br \/>\nNorth Carolina &#8211; Liddy Dole beats Bowles<br \/>\nFlorida &#8211; Jeb beats McBride, barely, and there&#8217;s lots of hassle about counting<br \/>\nMinnesoda &#8211; Mondale squeaks by to beat Coleman<br \/>\nSouth Dakota &#8211; Johnson holds on over Thune<br \/>\nGeorgia &#8211; Chambliss beats Cleland<br \/>\nMissouri &#8211; Talent beats Carnahan<br \/>\nColorado &#8211; Incumbent Allard holds on to beat Strickland<br \/>\nArkansas &#8211; Pryor beats Hutchinson handily as Christians don&#8217;t vote<br \/>\nCalifornia &#8211; Amidst record low turnout and the largest Green vote in history, Simon shocks the world and narrowly beats Davis after absentees are counted. (If you believe that, I&#8217;ve got a bridge to sell you.) Seriously though, Arnie&#8217;s initiative passes, much to the dismay of liberals, who see their bond issues fail. Tom McClintock wins the only other statewide seat for Reeps.
