If Joe diGenova is right, and I suspect he is, the federal investigation into the disclosure of the identity of covert CIA operative Valerie Plame should never have happened.<\/p>\n

diGenova says the CIA took no steps to protect Plame’s identity because some inside the agency were playing politics. Wilson didn’t even sign a non-disclosure agreement before hiking off to Niger, for example. You can’t even interview for an engineering job without doing that, for godsakes.<\/p>\n
