Several police and fire department honour guards will boycott New York state’s second-largest St Patrick’s Day parade over the choice of a former IRA member as grand marshal.

Why doesn’t the American press cover this?

  1. I think the reason why the American media didn’t cover this story is that the “boycott” was conducted by a relatively small group of people. Most Irish-Americans admire Gerry Adams and all he has done in the fight against British colonialism in the north of Ireland.

  2. Ireland is a third-world country governed by religious law, hardly better than Iran. Irish-Americans who support the terrorist IRA are too stupid or too drunk to know what they’re doing.
