Trolling gets traffic Richard. And that’s okay. I just don’t like the personal remarks. And I don’t think they were out of context.
Perhaps you meant them differently, but I notice that you seem to have a consistent problem along these lines, so perhaps you should try moderating your remarks a bit when you write about individuals, as opposed to policy.
Everyone who’s seen the context agrees with me, Glenn, and not with you, but don’t let mere facts get in your way. As my daddy used to say: “in the land of the illiterates, the dyslexic man is king.”
Now that Glenn’s link has been taken off Omphalos, how long before Electrolite is taken off RoboPundit?
You should take a break, Richard, and meditate or something, we don’t want to lose you. Other bloggers take breaks. You’re very intelligent, and you have the best site for viewing and accessing links. You “could” cut down on the name-calling, you wouldn’t have to go cold turkey.
If I stop blogging, the terrorists will have won.
If you stop blogging, who the hell will I have to make fun of? Great job being rude to Glenn, Eric, Stacy, me and whomever else you think might take the bait. Go get laid – cause you REALLY need it.
Glenn –
Yeah, RB and a few others, to use my favorite Layne-ism, have been real jackholes. They’ve said things to you that sure crossed my line. But you’d have better claim to playing the “injured gentleman seeking only dispassionate argument” card if you hadn’t come out of the gate suggesting that people concerned about contemporary teen sexual culture were simply hysterical hypocrites with pathological attitudes about sex.
Not that this crossed my line – I don’t believe good argument precludes colorful invective. (I mean, if we couldn’t make any snide allegations about other people’s sexual failings, the art of dissing would be sadly impoverished.) But I think there’s a “you can dish it out…” moral in here somewhere.
I’ve decided to stop reading Instapundit – he bascially annoys me with his misreading of most of what he posts, and all the stuff that’s worthwhile comes up on RoboPundit sooner or later anyway. So no more Instapundit link, no more annoyance, and no more name-calling.
Well, that’s a shame, because he just posted a link to the Stupidest.Post.Yet concerning teen sex, over at Eric Raymond’s blog.
Eric’s post reaches a new standard for strawman ravaging and self-righteousness, but it’s certainly no more idiotic than the Utopian fantasy on Fox News today.
There is no use trying to debate with people so wedded to their cluelessness.
