Blogger Quota System

Oliver Willis has some intesting observations about blogger diversity, and Kim du Toit sets him straight. UPDATE: I noticed that the jpegs on Oliver’s site are less ethnically diverse than the Frisco Blog Party, and mentioned as much in his comments; he then banned me from leaving further comments. Pot, Kettle, etc.

  1. I noticed you don’t have any jpgs of women at all on your front page here, so apparently I can assume that you’re gay – going by the same logic you apparently used to characterize Oliver, that is!

I’m just saying that making broad personal judgements like that based on what happens to appear on someone’s index page in the last five days or so seems to leave one’s mouth open to foot-insertion. If you had taken a glance through his archives before commenting, you would have seen that Oliver appreciates the beauty of a rainbow of women. ^_-

  2. I might very well be gay, for all you know. What’s your point?

I’m not the one who goes around complaining about the ethnic makeup of parties on the other coast, and Oliver is.

So it’s like I said, the pot calling the kettle white.

  3. Richard,

I read those exchanges between you and Oliver over on his site. Quite frankly, I can’t for the life of me understand why you decided to go nuclear halfway through it. The whole thing is a complete non-issue.
